I bought one about 2 months ago and i am very satisified with phone. The phone works great. I would advise anyone who is looking for a phone to get the rant.

I have had the Rant for 6 months now, and everytime I plug it into my computer, it's perfectly fine. Just make sure the ';battery bar'; is moving from one to two to three to four %26amp; back to one.

i think you will because you are receiving data on the phone. my rant did that to me when i tried that.

No, Verizon unfortunatly doesn't work off sim cards, so its impossible to unlock phones and make them Verizon if they aren't.Can you use a Samsung Rant cell phone on the Verizon network even though its normally a sprint phone?

Why does my RANT phone say illegal number of files when i switched my 2G memory card over?

I recently switched my memory card over from my old musiq phone. There, apparently are ';too many files'; beacause it tells me that whenever i go to my albums it won't let me open the ';100SSMED'; folder; stating that as it's reason...Why does my RANT phone say illegal number of files when i switched my 2G memory card over?
It could be that the Rant won't support a 2 GB card. I do not believe that it is a music phone, so it might not support all of the media, or even a card that big. I would suggest calling Sprint. (I believe that they are the one's that carry the Rant).
