I work in handset faults for a network I can't disclose (they'd fire me lol) and I can advise what NOT to get- Anything made by Ericcson (Literally. ALL current models suffer severe issue with lock-ups, to the point where we are refusing to replace customers phones because any replacement we send will have the same fault, and the wonderful C902 heats up so badly the metal keypad can actually cause damage. Super, eh?). Any of the nokia N-series, and definitely the Nokia 6500 should be avoided. The Samsung Omnia (i-900) also has a lot of issues.





One of the few I would actually recommend is the LG Secret. I've only ever had one reported faulty and they eventually admitted they'd dropped it in the toilet XD Some of the slightly older samsungs are okay (G600, u600, U900 soul) though there are some technical issues with them,





Also if you decide to go with 02 the I-phone is suprisingly decent. It's reliable and what it does it does very well, but it's lacking a few features (like video for example) but the downside is 02 customer service is terrible. Oh, and don't get anything on the 3 network. You'll only get decent coverage in about 10% of the country (assuming your in the UK lol)





The only recommendation I can really give is, whatever you do, GET INSURANCE! Outside 6 months if the phone goes faulty you won't get a replacement even if you haven't done anything wrong to it.
